Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sports Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports coaching and teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate students. As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for planning PE lessons and delivering them to a high standard.

You will also be based in a classroom during the mornings as a teaching assistant. Helping with various different lessons such as Maths and English.

Duties

Design and implement effective PE lessons, following the curriculum set out by the school. Teach fundamental skills, strategies, and techniques relevant to the sport. Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students improve their performance. Organise and lead practice sessions, ensuring a safe and engaging environment. Monitor students progress and submit data backing up their progress. Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for the sport among participants. Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other coaching staff regarding goals, expectations, and performance updates. Maintain equipment and facilities in good condition.

Experience

Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching is essential. Strong knowledge of the sport being coached, including rules, techniques, and strategies. Previous management role is essential - As you will be managing a team of 5 other employees Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups of people. Previous experience working with youth or community sports programmes is an advantage.
