experienced and highly driven Housing Disrepair (HDR) Litigator

to lead our HDR litigation team.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a

dynamic and aggressive litigator

with a proven track record of success in housing disrepair claims. The ideal candidate will have the

leadership skills, strategic mindset, and litigation expertise

to drive the performance of our HDR team. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is

target-driven

, and is committed to delivering outstanding results for clients while ensuring commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and develop a team of HDR litigators to achieve performance targets. Oversee and drive the litigation strategy for housing disrepair claims, ensuring optimal case progression. Handle complex HDR cases, including contested litigation and trial advocacy. Monitor team performance, provide training and mentorship, and ensure the team meets and exceeds KPIs. Develop and refine case-handling processes to improve efficiency and case outcomes. Work closely with senior management to align litigation strategy with business objectives. Ensure compliance with CPR, SRA regulations, and internal policies. Maintain strong relationships with funders, ATE insurers, and external counsel. Maximise revenue generation and recovery for both the firm and clients.

Key Requirements:

5+ years PQE

with a

strong track record in housing disrepair litigation

.

Proven experience in managing and leading a team

of litigators.

Aggressive and commercially focused

approach to litigation.

Exceptional advocacy, negotiation, and case management skills.

Strong understanding of

civil procedure rules, pre-action protocols, and limitation periods

. Experience in

high-volume HDR claims

with a focus on maximising claim value.

Ambitious, driven, and target-oriented

with a commitment to growing the department. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
