Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring that pets look their best while also prioritising their comfort and wellbeing. This role requires both technical skills in grooming and strong customer service abilities to build lasting relationships with pet owners.

Duties

Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling of various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, providing recommendations for care. Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment, adhering to health and safety standards. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, services provided, and aftercare. Handle animals with care, ensuring their comfort during the grooming process. Assist in managing appointments and maintaining records of services rendered. Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow within the grooming salon.

Skills

Strong knowledge of animal care practices, including breed-specific grooming techniques. Excellent customer service skills to engage with pet owners and address their concerns. Experience or knowledge in veterinary practices is advantageous for recognising health issues in pets. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment. Strong attention to detail and a passion for animal welfare. Good communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
