You'll be working with manual turning lathes to create components to exact specifications, keeping quality and accuracy at the heart of everything you do.
What You'll Be Doing
Operating manual turning machines and related equipment to make parts to drawings and specs
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD files (SolidWorks experience is a bonus)
Setting up tooling and fixtures for both production runs and one-off jobs
Carrying out regular checks on finished components to make sure they meet quality standards
Performing routine start-up checks on machinery and reporting any issues
Assembling parts when required, using hand tools and precise measurements
Keeping your workspace clean, safe, and organised
What We're Looking For
Hands-on experience with manual turning lathes and a solid understanding of conventional machining
Ability to work from raw materials through to finished parts
Good basic maths skills for accurate measuring and calculations
Great attention to detail and a commitment to quality
A team player who can also work independently when needed
Previous experience in conventional machining is essential
