Working hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am-4.30pm

Rate: 15 - 19ph dependant on experience

AMLR is working in partnership with a reputable engineering company who are currently recruiting for a skilled reliable time served Manual machinist to join their team.

Specialising and passionate about precision CNC machining, manufacturing of special purpose machinery with over 40 years experience in the aerospace, nuclear and technology sectors.

Due to the nature of the market our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents.

Duties



Operate manual lathes, mills, and other machining equipment to manufacture parts according to specifications. Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models to understand machining requirements. Use SolidWorks for designing components and tooling as needed. Perform assembly tasks, including welding and fitting of components. Conduct quality checks on finished products using basic maths to ensure compliance with tolerances. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition. Grind and finish parts as required to meet surface finish specifications. Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using CAD software; experience with SolidWorks is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools effectively. Familiarity with plastics injection moulding processes is an advantage. Ability to perform basic maths for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks. Experience in tooling design and fabrication is beneficial. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
