Job Description
Manufacturing Controller - Defence Sector
Join a leading defence organisation as a Manufacturing Controller, supporting increased workload across production operations. This role involves managing inventory and stores, issuing tooling, kitting, and loading manufacturing cells in line with delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock control and shelf-life management
- Kitting and packing (use of hand tools)
- Tooling issuance and receipt
- Updating inventory systems (e.g., SAP)
- Loading/unloading deliveries
- Supporting manufacturing work packages
- Experience in stores or manufacturing control
- Forklift licence (mandatory)
- Manual handling, lifting & slinging (including overhead cranes)
- ESD awareness
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Flexible and detail-oriented
- PC literacy (Excel)
- Knowledge of Kanban/2-bin systems
- Defence or aerospace background preferred
