Manufacturing Co-ordinator



Tamworth, Staffordshire



CPE is an established and well-respected engineering company, specialising in the supply of bespoke pressure vessels to the international offshore, water and nuclear industries. The company has become an established part of larger portfolio of engineering companies, bringing exciting new opportunities and continued growth.

Due to internal restructure, CPE are looking to fill the role of Manufacturing Coordinator. The role provides essential organisational support to the Projects, Quality and Manufacturing Teams. Ensuring the efficient and timely coordination of information, resources, and materials. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this key role is responsible for providing the infrastructure for manufacturing operations, controlling materials from arrival on site, through production, to despatch.

The role requires strong organisational, planning, and communication skills, good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and multitask. A high level of Computer Literacy is expected in use of a range of software applications, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential- particularly Excel. Experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment would be advantageous, as would an understanding of Logistics and Manufacturing operations, in particular welding.

Key Responsibilities



Coordinate preparation and issue of production paperwork to standard processes.

Coordinate production schedule with the Projects Managers, communicating to the wider team and reporting changes to customers as necessary.

Raise Purchase Orders for stock materials, consumables, and sub-contract processes, proactively expediting suppliers and sub-contractors.

Help manage stock and storage systems to maintain accurate stock records.

Control logistics of materials to and from sub-contractors, arranging internal and external transport as required.

Methodically and accurately issue materials to upcoming contracts.

Book in completed contracts ready for despatch.

Organise the shipment of projects as required.

Coordinate and create production nameplates using a marking/etching machine.

Provide cover for and assist with the compilation of documentation packs, as required.

Provide cover for Goods Inwards as required.

Support the Projects team in an administrative capacity.

Hours



Full time - 39 hrs per week, Monday to Friday.

Based in our works in Tamworth

Some flexibility with working hours may be possible for the right candidate.

Package from 29,000 PA up to 32,000 PA - dependent on experience - plus bonuses
