The company:
My client is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will utilize your technical expertise to develop and implement improved manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment. They have an incredibly unique business function where they can quickly change their product to suit their customers preferences. This an ideal opportunity for career driven Engineers.

Manufacturing engineer duties:
You will work closely with the Engineering Manager to ensure that equipment and tools meet the company\'s requirements and objectives. Additionally, you will supervise a small team of operatives, monitor their skills, provide training when necessary, and ensure timely delivery of customer orders while maintaining quality standards.

Your day will include:

  • Responsible for volume outputs, scrap/rework, quality, safety and delivery commitments
  • Run trials for new products.
  • Quality checking.
  • An array of high-tech CNC machinery and metal processing equipment.
  • Managing the day-to-day rotas of your team.
  • Taking a lead role within management meetings.
This position requires a strong engineer with exceptional leadership skills, a "can-do" attitude, and a hands-on approach. The ideal candidate will be flexible, committed to delivering exceptional work, and take ownership of their responsibilities.

A successful Manufacturing engineer application will need:
  • A manufacturing or engineering qualification level 3, ONC or equivalent.
  • Experience with laths, millers and grinders.
  • My client is happy to interview candidates with experience looking to move into manufacturing.
