We have a vacancy within our Manufacturing Department and are currently recruiting for the role of Manufacturing Engineer on the Day Shift. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.



Shift Pattern:

39 hours each week with a flexible starting time between 07:00 and 08:00 Monday to Friday, with a flexible finish time between 16:00 and 17:00 Monday to Thursday, and on a Friday, a finish time of 12.00. You will be entitled to a 30-minute unpaid lunch break between 12:00 and 12:30 Monday to Thursday. Additionally, you will have a 10-minute paid break each morning Monday to Friday and a 10-minute paid break each afternoon Monday to Thursday.

Role Accountabilities:



Evaluates, creates, and improves manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials. Technical Support of Fabrication shop personnel Ensuring adherence to process and specification requirements. Interface regularly with the Manufacturing manager and manufacturing engineers to assure clear and concise communication. Investigate root cause of non-conforming parts. create internal Rework reports, update database, and maintain rework fifes (paper copies). ensure corrective action is carried out and preventative action has been implemented. Liaise with Quality to review NCR's. Lead the design for manufacturability process, have an input into PFMEA's, determine root cause, plans facility, equipment, and resource changes and initial product builds, and ensure that Manufacturing deliverables to Development Project Plans are completed and on time. Identify and implement with others, improvements to methods of manufacture and production including accurate op times. Carry out auditing activities (FPAs etc) When required assessment of new equipment and its possible installation within the company, training of operators on new equipment. Participate/Lead project work that has been identified through the Gemba process and the Project Pipeline activities (Document issues, Materials) Support the throughput of Production and NPI work in conjunction with Production coordinator to ensure correct prioritisation. Coordinate training for Forming, Reaming and Deburring machine ensuring operators are fully competent and conversant with safety requirements. In conjunction with others support design of tooling and where appropriate draw up tooling 2D Drawings, dxf / create templates, fixtures for production etc. / modify any existing tooling where required, source material for tooling, and launch tooling cards (Planning). Creation and maintenance of company SOPs in support of manufacture and production activities. Ensure that routings accurately reflect the method/times of manufacture for company product. Update javelin and create route change requests. Programme new and where required edit existing programmes on the LVD cell using Cadman offline software, maintain and update where necessary tool database, source new tooling for press brakes when needed for both manual and CNC machines. Maintain / order consumables for required manufacturing cells. Support HSE/Facilities activities where required including maintenance of plant/equipment and infrastructure, maintain safety / maintenance check sheets and safety tracker on forming cell when required / support and implement any required actions. Support with administrative tasks, including contract review, updating tracker spreadsheets, routing request changes and auditing of part manufacturing time and costs. Support the Planning team when required on special projects and process developments, also assessing enquiries against business capability.
