Accountabilities
Define a strategy, goals and objectives for the ManEng team
NPI process - stage gate owner for manufacturing process, equipment and deployment
Continuous Improvement - using the Benefits vs Efforts matrix/method to define priorities; driving change through data driven analysis, deployment through Task Forces.
Governance - set up and measure annual review of WI's, PFD, PFMEA, SMV's.
Change Management Process - ownership of the PCR process to track changes made in manufacturing, regular KPI reviews of open actions and responsibility of ensuring all changes are completed.
Measurement - of success and set up KPI's and costs analysis. Ensuring compliance to MES system and use of data to identify performance and efficiency issues.
Process and Engineering subject matter expert, providing counsel and support to the Production Mangers and team Leaders
Standardisation - Accountable for both manufacturing; share best practice
Collaboration - Relationship with the Quality Manager; QA and ManEng teams to 'work hand in glove'
Leadership - to set and achieve team goals, individual objectives and personal development (PDR process)
Responsibilities
Process improvement - driven by KPI metrics, MES data reviews and production reviews

Controlling processes transition from trim dev onto the shop floor
Control of line trials
Management of team workload through bi-weekly stand ups

Preferred Education, Experiences & Qualifications
Minimum of five years of manufacturing engineering experience
A proven track record of delivering results against projects and improvement programmes in manufacturing environments
Educated to degree level in manufacturing, mechanical or similar discipline
Knowledge and experience of additive manufacturing
Experience of design, manufacture and implementation of jigs, fixtures and operator aids.
Appreciation of continuous improvement tools is desirable
Good IT skills and experience with CAD
Other factors
Adaptability in the location of work including ability to be flexible with business travel as and when necessary
