We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our Manufacturing Engineering Team based at our European Headquarters in Glenrothes.

Position Summary:



Assist with all aspects of the manufacturing process including, standards, process operations, PDI (trials & production scale up), and process optimization. Driving improvements in terms of EHS, PDI, quality, cost and delivery.

Essential Functions:



Assist with manufacturing processes and ensure they are optimised in terms of productivity and efficiency and that all critical to quality aspects are identified and controlled. Assist in the identification of upgrades and modifications required to increase productivity and improve quality. Implement modifications/ upgrades as required. Assist with Six Sigma projects and implement robust solutions to manufacturing problems. Run trials in conjunction with the PDI program. Batch testing. Produce defect trend analysis. Suggest changes/ improvements to manufacturing documentation, actioning changes when required. Monitor and maintain test equipment to ensure optimum performance. Input test specifications. Ensure all tooling is managed to ensure it is available and within specification. Out of hours trials. Test/ rework defective product. Assist with the delivery of work instruction training, ensuring consistency of operation across the shifts. Take an active role in developing personal skills and knowledge, identifying opportunities to improve. Work in a safe and secure manner.

Additional Responsibilities:



This position requires the job holder to possess good problem-solving skills, as well as analytical and creative thinking. The job holder must have the ability to operate on their own initiative but also contribute as a team member working with engineers from various disciplines.

Education



Technical Highers Six Sigma Green Belt IOSH Working Safely

Experience



Experience in a Manufacturing environment highly desirable Operating in a fast-paced environment to challenging deadlines

Skills



Practical, Analytical and Logical in approach Confident and comfortable communicator both written and oral Ability to prepare for & attend cross functional departmental meetings Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn Must be willing to challenge others in a positive manner Strong MS Office, advanced Excel skills would be an advantage Good problem solver Confident in writing procedures Can demonstrate the ability to multi-task whilst retaining attention to detail and accuracy Self-motivated and flexible Comfortable addressing and working with small groups

There will be minimal travel required with this role.
