We have an exciting opportunity for a Foreman to join a well-established team based in Pontypool. GC Manufacturing have a strong placement within the Newbuild Construction industry.

Our Head office and factories are based in Pontypool South Wales with operating regions in Wales & South West, South East, North Midlands, and North East Midlands. As a team we have excellent history and an enviable position in the market with current growth allowing opportunity to expand further within our field.

Should you be a person looking for job security then this is a full-time permanent opportunity, the working hours are Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 16.00pm and Friday 7:00am to 13.00pm however at times your working hours may vary to accommodate the operations demands. Key responsibilities and Duties

Supervise and lead production staff, assigning tasks and monitor performance

Ensure daily production targets and quality standards are met

Enforce safety protocols and report any near misses

Ensure clean organised working environment

Train and mentor new employees on production procedures and equipment use

Coordinate with engineering to minimise equipment downtime

Maintain accurate production records and report and issues to the Production Manager

Assist in process improvements

Conduct and complete weekly, monthly and quality audits (PPE, Fire, Site and Environmental inspections)

Skills/Knowledge

Driving Licence and own transport desirable due to location

Experience of working in the UPVC industry not essential.

Effective communicational skills

Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.

A passion for making a positive difference with integrity, teamwork determination and pride.

Forklift Licence desirable but not essential
