Manufacturing Line Leader

Hourly rate: Day Shift 13.25ph

3 shifts rotating Mon-Fri: 6.00am-2.15pm / 2.00pm-10.15pm / 10pm-6.15am. The roles currently (though subject to change due to business needs) is one weekly rotating day shifts and one night shift.

Any successful candidates will initially train on day shifts, with the expectation that one of the positions will transition into a permanent night-shift role.

Prior experience in extrusion is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidates.

Overtime is available, paid at standard 1.5 and 2 x hourly rate

Niko Coatings are a family-owned manufacturing company based in Bradford. We are currently searching for a Line Leader to join the team.

The main role is to lead a team responsible for producing products to the required specifications.

Liaise with the production manager, shift manager and other Line Leaders for delivering, and where possible, exceeding, the key performance indicators within the operation.

Key Responsibilities

People

Lead by example, ensuring a safe and efficient work place is maintained and where improvement suggestions are embraced and acted upon. Communicate effectively with the rest of the team Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures.

Quality

Champion an environment where quality is a top priority. Work with other Line Leaders and QC team to assess and record any quality concerns Achieve the required company quality standards ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction.

Productivity

Work with other team members to improve Key Performance Indicators - KG per man hour, high yield and low waste and uptime maximised. Provide product expertise within team, and respond to operator queries/problems Report and act upon plant or machinery issues/breakdowns. Assist with training of operators for products and processes across the site
