Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to interpret schematics and lead projects effectively.

Responsibilities

Maintain equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical systems, including welding tasks as necessary. Ensure all engineering and electrical work is carried out to the current regulations and safety standards Provide preventative & reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance to minimise equipment downtime and log activity on relevant systems Provide root cause analysis and elimination of the cause Work with company CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) Maintain mechanical maintenance PM's & schedule Work with the Engineering Manager to ensure activities comply with relevant standards and legislation Support Capital projects and installation work Prepare documentation and reports related to project progress and engineering specifications.

Requirements

Previous experience within an electrical / mechanical engineering role - mandatory Formal engineering qualifications required (minimum City & Guilds or equivalent) - mandatory BS 7671 18th Edition Electrical Regulations - mandatory Experience in the FMCG/Manufacturing industry - desirable Experience of PLC programming desirable. Experience of packaging 'robotics' desirable (ABB/FANUC). Experience in welding techniques is a plus.
