Innovia Films is a leading global manufacturer of Biaxially Orientated Polypropylene (BOPP) films, supplying highly differentiated speciality products into the packaging, labels, tobacco overwrap and securities markets.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Production Departments as a Manufacturing Operations Apprentice based in Wigton.

What is this role?

Initially working Monday - Friday (07:30 - 15:30), upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, candidates would be expected to progress to a shift-based role (potentially including Mornings, Afternoon and Night shifts).

The successful candidate will develop the skills and knowledge required to contribute to the reliability and safe operation of our plant, including tasks associated with the production of film materials, carrying out safe working practices whilst maintaining high levels of quality, driving efficiency and productivity.

Some of the typical duties may include, but are not limited to:

Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Regular attendance of college ensuring work is completed on time and to a high standard.

Comply with appropriate rules, regulations, and processes for safe working.

Maintaining a high level of housekeeping and apply continuous improvement principles.

Adopt a flexible approach across all manufacturing areas

What skills will you need?

The ideal candidate will have:

A minimum of 5 GCSEs (grades 4-9) including Maths and English Good verbal and written communication skills. An ability to solve problems and react quickly. An approachable and helpful manner. Self-motivation but willing to work as part of a team. A motivated and positive outlook. Reliability, punctuality and demonstrate being a real team player. Good attention to detail. Great organisational skills. A desire to learn for a long-term position.

The salary for this role is starting from

18,587.15

. Additionally, you will be given
