Overview

The post of Manufacturing Operations Manager has the responsibility for the efficient and effective operation of the production and manufacturing workshop.

Proven experience in manufacturing and ideally in the production of complex assemblies in a high-precision environment.

Responsible for providing support to all the Workshop employees and to ensure effective LEAN manufacturing processes are adhered to. Look to provide technical solutions to tasks and engineering advice and direction.

Support the Workshop Team Leaders, ensuring they provide continued supervision to their teams and maintain the manufacturing principles to produce quality products on time and within cost.

Duties

Ensure all operations are conducted in an appropriate, cost effective manner. Improve manufacturing systems, processes, and best practices. Manage materials, inventory and warehouse efficiency. Ensure the organization's processes remain compliant within the ISO: 9001 and 14001 frameworks. Ensure the organizations operational objectives are met and maintained. Manage site budgets Perform quality controls and monitor production KPI's. Overall responsibility for recruitment and support of workshop staff. Ensure all Health and Safety practices and procedures are fully embedded within the workshop.

Qualifications

Proven work experience as Operations Manager in Manufacturing or similar role Knowledge of 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles Experience of budgeting and forecasting Excellent communication skills Strong Leadership ability Outstanding organizational skills Degree in Production Engineering desirable
