Description




Training and Process Manager - Bakery Operations




Overview:





Responsible for developing, delivering, and monitoring training and process improvement programmes within a manufacturing bakery environment, ensuring that all production staff consistently meet food safety, health & safety, and operational performance standards.



This role plays a critical part in linking Bakery Operations, Technical, and HR teams to support the achievement of company goals, and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Operating at the heart of our fast-paced bakery production facility in Rosyth, this role champions a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and a proactive, "can-do" approach across the bakery floor.


Key Responsibilities:




Training & Development

Create standard operating procedures for all machinery ensuring food safety and health & safety aspects are covered. Successfully deliver induction and onboarding training for new bakery employees. Collaborate with the bakery, HR and quality teams to align on bakery operational standards. Maintain accurate training records and conduct training needs analysis regularly.

Compliance & Auditing

+ Monitor compliance with internal policies, food safety laws, and health & safety regulations.
+ Completion of daily product quality checks across the full bakery.
+ Conduct process verification of key bakery products.



Documentation & Systems

+ Keep policies, procedures, and training materials up to date and aligned with legislation.
+ Support digital training tools and compliance tracking systems.



Stakeholder Engagement

+ Work with operational team, bakery supervisors and HR to embed a culture of learning and accountability.
+ Provide coaching and feedback to improve performance and standards on-site.
+ Encourage a learning culture where people feel supported to grow.

Continuous Improvement

+ Identify trends from audits and training feedback to improve processes.
+ Promote a "can-do" attitude across teams with practical, solution-focused guidance.

Skills & Experience:




Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety legislation. Experience in training delivery and audit processes within food manufacturing. Excellent communication and coaching skills. Attention to detail and ability to influence positive change. Previous experience in bakery sector highly desirable. Competent in using a PC and navigating the MS Office for daily tasks.

Competitive Pay: 40k-48K depending on experience. Monday to Friday. 39 hours per week, 06:00 - 14:30 Monday - Thursday with earlier finish on Fridays.
