Job Summary

We seek an experienced and motivated Machine Operator with experience in running corrugated packaging machinery and managing a team of operators. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in the corrugated packaging industry, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrate strong leadership abilities.

This role is crucial in ensuring our production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation:

Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of machinery. This could be a Flexographic Printer, Flat die cut, or multipoint folder gluing machinery.

Leadership & Supervision:

Lead and manage a team of up to 5 people depending on the machine, ensuring clear communication of duties and expectations.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve machine issues /production issues promptly to minimise downtime and maintain productivity.

Maintenance:

Perform and oversee weekly maintenance tasks to ensure machinery operates optimally.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure all jobs meet the highest quality standards, whether performed personally or by the team.

Decision Making:

Make informed decisions quickly to address production challenges and ensure smooth operations.

Safety Compliance:

Ensure all safety protocols and standards are followed by the team.

Training:

Train and mentor crew members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in machine operation within the corrugated packaging industry. Please note this is essential. Strong technical background with proficiency in operating and maintaining corrugated packaging machinery. Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
