We're looking for Manufacturing Slaughter Operatives - Halal Lamb at our manufacturing site working in our abattoir, working in a safe, efficient and hygienic manner to undertake stunning and sticking on the lamb line, in line with Halal, legal and ethical standards.
Safety is a top priority and you'll be required to complete all relevant health and safety training to make sure that the safest work practices are adhered to.
For this role, it is a requirement that the slaughter is performed according to Sharia Law (Islamic Practices), Halal Standard, and UK regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with our UK-based Halal certification body.

About you
You'll be the kind of person who:
Has previous experience of Halal slaughter/butchery (not essential as full training will be provided)
Holds or is prepared to undertake training for the appropriate WATOK accreditation
Enjoys working in a fast paced environment
Works well as part of a team and enjoys being physically active
Has the ability to maintain concentration throughout shift where tasks are repetitive
Is open to working in a production environment with varying temperatures
Please note that this is an abattoir / slaughterhouse environment and you will be in the presence of raw meat and carcasses, working in a chilled environment of between 2 and 9 degrees. Full personal protective equipment is provided and must be worn at all times.
