Mechanical Technician
Department: Oil & Gas (Subsea)
Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Type: Full-Time
As a Mechanical Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operations across electronic, mechanical, and systems functions. You'll be hands-on with testing, troubleshooting, and process control-ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
What You'll Do
- Execute technical tasks within dedicated work groups and key cell projects
- Apply test techniques and procedures to validate product integrity
- Interpret and work from job packets, routings, wire lists, and bills of material
- Maintain and calibrate production tools and equipment
- Diagnose and repair product, process, or program defects
- Read blueprints, identify components, and perform wire preparation, stripping, crimping, harness repair, and termination
- Operate and program automated machinery
- Drive continuous improvement using our Manufacturing System principles
- Experience in a Technology or Manufacturing Center
- Familiarity with production workflows and assembly processes
- Exposure to technical investigations and production testing
- Strong skills in electronics, hydraulics, and mechanical assemblies
- Proficiency with manual hand tools and blueprint reading
