As we continue to grow, we are looking for a proactive and hands-on Working Supervisor to support and lead our manufacturing department.

Role Overview

The Working Supervisor will split their time between hands-on production work and overseeing day-to-day activities within the manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong practical skills with leadership ability, team development, and a commitment to maintaining high manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

Work hands-on alongside the manufacturing team for part of the day to support daily production tasks. Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders. Provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and skills development to team members. Ensure quality standards are met across all manufacturing processes. Monitor productivity and support continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with basic management duties including scheduling, task allocation, and reporting. Uphold health & safety standards and ensure team compliance with company policies. Communicate effectively with management, contributing ideas to improve processes and team performance.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a manufacturing or construction environment. Strong practical, hands-on skills--ideally with experience in joinery, carpentry, or modular building. Ability to motivate, train, and guide team members. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to balance hands-on work with supervisory and administrative duties. Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach. Understanding of health & safety standards in a production environment.
