We are seeking a skilled and motivated Marine Engineer to join our growing marine engineering business. The role involves working on a wide range of vessels including leisure craft, RIBs, and small commercial vessels. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Servicing, maintenance, and repair of inboard and outboard engines
Fault-finding and diagnostics (mechanical and electrical)
Installation and commissioning of marine systems
Steering systems, controls, fuel systems, and general marine engineering work
Working to high safety and workmanship standards
Liaising professionally with customers and colleagues
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a marine engineer or mechanical engineer (marine preferred)
Strong mechanical knowledge; electrical experience advantageous
Ability to diagnose and resolve faults efficiently
Good attention to detail and a proactive approach
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience with outboard brands (e.g. Mercury, Yamaha, Honda)
Diesel engine experience (e.g. Yanmar, Volvo Penta)
Boat systems installation experience
