Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled, conscientious Marine Engineer to provide onsite support to various Police Launches and Ribs within Portsmouth Dockyard. The role will require you to undertake a DBS check to gain a Dockyard pass. Occasionally you may be required to work at either of our Yards based in Gosport and very occasionally around the UK.

Skills Required

Marine Engineering experience with qualifications. Capable of working as part of a team or on their own. Good organisational skills with sound problem solving and diagnostic capabilities. The ability to work to the highest standards and take responsibility for your work. A flexible attitude, as you may be asked to carry out various duties including helping other trades. A full UK driving licence.
You should be well presented, motivated, practical and willing to go to sea for short durations. The job is based in Portsmouth; however, time is also spent at either of our Gosport Yards working on vessels used by the Military. Additionally, you may be required to travel within the UK. You must be prepared to undertake overtime when required.

This is a full-time permanent position with 23 days annual leave increasing by 1 day for every 2 years of service up to 25 days. Plus bank holidays

Pay rate 17.23 per hour
