MARINE ENGINEER (Leisure)

Location: Yarmouth, Isle of Wight

Salary: Dependent on experience

Wight Marine are looking to grow our small team. This is an opportunity to be part of that growth and benefit from working and training with a multi franchise engineering firm.

Wight Marine are a full service marine engineering business within the leisure marine sector. We cover everything from installation to diagnostics, servicing and repair.

We work on inboards and outboards, and everything from small RIBs and auxiliary engines to large sailing and motor yachts. The right candidate will be willing to turn their hand to varied jobs, but candidates specialising in either inboard or outboard engines will be considered.

As dealers for leading brands including Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Honda Marine and Mercury we have the benefit of expertise and training opportunities. A candidate with recent manufacturer training or experience is viewed favourably but not essential. Good product knowledge is beneficial.

The right candidate should also be motivated and practical with the ability to remain flexible and work with customers' individual requirements.

Tasks and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

Carrying out routine servicing Diagnostics and problem solving Supporting other engineers and team members Fitting a range of mechanical and domestic equipment Attending to call-outs and providing both short-term and long-term solutions for customers Attending boats both locally and further afield across the Isle of Wight

Working week:

40 hours a week, Monday to Friday

Flexibility around weekend working and overtime for the right candidate.

Wage:

Competitive salary dependent on experience
