Marine Engineer (Full-Time)

Location: Yarmouth, Isle of Wight

Salary: 30,000 - 50,000 per year (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-Time, in person

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Marine Engineer to join a well-established marine services company based in Yarmouth. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic and repair skills and be confident working independently on a wide range of leisure craft.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out maintenance, servicing, and fault-finding on propulsion systems, engines, and general boat equipment. Work on leisure vessels typically ranging from 20ft to 60ft. Diagnose and repair inboard engine systems to a high standard. Deliver excellent service and maintain professional communication with customers.

Requirements

Proven hands-on experience within the

leisure marine engineering sector

(essential). Strong knowledge of

inboard engine systems

. Experience with

Volvo Penta

and/or

Yanmar

engines (highly desirable). Ability to diagnose, service, and repair mechanical systems confidently and efficiently. Good interpersonal and customer service skills.

Experience with outboard engines is beneficial but not required.
