Job description
We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to drive technical project delivery within our team including the Natural Capital Ecosystem Assessment Programme. You will be supporting the field delivery of estuarine and coastal monitoring including;
delivering innovation,
day to day contract management,
training,
liaising with internal and external customers,
programme management,
guidance document management, including writing and reviewing.
You will be part of the management team and help to plan and monitor team resources to deliver work whilst balancing the team's wellbeing. Monitoring Survey - Estuarine and Coastal team are a field based team, this role will be majority office based. You will be expected to show regular visible leadership in the field to support the wider team and embed training and improvements as well as conduction active monitoring.

The team
The Monitoring Survey - Estuarine and Coastal team delivers the Environment Agency's estuarine and coastal boat based monitoring programme. This includes water and ecological monitoring undertaken throughout England and for Natural Resources Wales as part of an ongoing partnership. It delivers a vital service that underpins much of our marine statutory responsibilities relating to water quality. We deliver a wide range of marine monitoring projects for internal and DEFRA customers.
Experience/skills required
Ideally you will have experience of working effectively in dispersed teams with marine operations experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate the exemplary Health and Safety awareness needed for delivering of projects in this environment.
Other key requirements for this job are;

Be able to prioritise demands,
Technical knowledge of marine instrumentation and monitoring methods,
Great planning skills.
