INTRODUCTION:

We are looking for an organised, personable and highly motivated individual to join Caley Marina as a Marine Parts Advisor. This role is central to the smooth running of our workshop and customer service operations, and requires someone who is accurate, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality support.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the confidence to work directly with customers and colleagues alike. Every boat and system is different, so the ability to think practically, problem-solve, and remain adaptable is essential. You will work closely within a small, supportive team and will receive full training throughout your learning journey.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Work within the parts department, serving internal and external customers, providing advice on products and parts available to them

2. Uphold the correct implementation of pricing structures

3. Work closely with the workshop team giving quotes for parts for jobs.

4. Effectively researching systems and schematics to find the correct parts required.

5. Maintaining a systematic and tidy parts department which can navigated easily.

6. Carry out warranty administration and recording of service protocols

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1. Keyboard skills and numeric literacy are essential.

2. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Applications.

3. Experience of working in a customer service environment, meeting customer expectations and resolving customer complaints.

4. Interest in Marine Engines and a willingness to improve on that knowledge. Experience in parts is desirable but not essential as training will be given.

5. Experience in working alone as well as in a team.
