Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Market Assistant to join our team. Based on our market pitch, on the historic Cambridge Market Square. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a positive attitude , confident in engaging with members of the public enabling the upsell of our products. The hours are 9am-4pm every Friday & Saturday. The ideal candidate must be reliable and able to work in all weather conditions as the market is open come rain or shine.
Responsibilities
Assist customers with product inquiries Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products Maintain an organised and visually appealing display to attract customers. Utilise basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
Experience
Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is advantageous. Excellent communication skills Knowledge of food hygiene & allergen laws - preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 14 per week
Work Location: In person
