We're looking for an energetic, organised and personable Markets Co-ordinator to join our team. As Markets Co-ordinator you'll be on-the-ground, assisting with overseeing the daily operations of KERB's bustling lunch-time and Saturday food markets, reporting to our Markets Manager.

You will work closely with our freelance market managers and food vendors at each site, ensuring the smooth, safe, and vibrant running of each event. You'll have a strong eye for detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a knack for building strong relationships with vendors and customers alike. The successful candidate will help oversee a team of freelance market managers across six sites, each running at least two lunchtime markets per week. They will also assist the Markets and Food Teams in supporting the growth and development of the independent food vendors we work with. This role suits individuals with top-notch organisational skills who are just as comfortable enjoying great food as they are facilitating successful operations - both on-site at markets and through effective communication and tech tools and resources.

What you'll be doing





Onsite physical management of one (minimum) market one day per week. This includes ensuring smooth operations, from setting up and breaking down the market to overseeing vendor logistics and maintaining high standards for safety, cleanliness, and overall market ambiance. They will serve as a primary support for vendors, addressing any immediate needs or issues that arise during the day and coordinating closely with freelance market managers to ensure a cohesive experience Maintaining good relationships with site management teams at KERB markets Assist with managing a team of freelance lunchtime & Saturday market managers to ensure top-class cover for all markets Assist with managing the rota for our markets ensuring optimum take up and great communication with all members. This includes updating external and internal parties with relevant weekly trader information, working closely with our marketing team for social media and website content updates Work alongside Markets Manager on the development of our new incubators, supporting and guiding the operational development of new and existing trader businesses, helping to improve their systems and aspire to growth opportunities Ensure all H&S practices are followed by members on markets Administrative responsibilities and organising trading rotas


What you'll bring to KERB



Essential

Great knowledge of the London food scene Understanding of health and safety and relevant operational experience to support the management of markets Technically proficient - comfortable with a spread of software and systems Proactive / self-starter with lots of initiative Excellent people skills, confident talking to clients and traders in a straightforward and open manner and developing long-term relationships

Desired but not essential

Experience in working with or within independent food businesses An understanding of the way independent food businesses operate and a willingness to work in a strategic way to support them in tailoring / focusing their business
