Job Title: Quality Co-ordinator
Reporting to: Technical Manager
We are a successful, market leading, fine food wholesaler and manufacturer offering the independent retailer a fantastic choice of over 2,000 high quality, premium preserves, chutneys, cakes, biscuits, hampers, and confectionery.
We operate across three sites: two manufacturing facilities and one warehouse. Our on-site bakery specialises in small batch production, hand-finishing a comprehensive range of popular loaf cakes, slab cakes, and tray bakes. At our preserving facility, we create a fabulous range of preserves, marmalades, curds, pickles, and chutneys.
Due to the expansion of the business and the requirements of its customer, MHT Foods is looking to recruit a new member to the technical department, reporting directly to the Technical Manager.
Job Role - Key Tasks
Working with the other members of the team to drive the technical function of Bramble Foods and MHT Foods businesses forward providing information to other departments and customers.
Updating and writing internal procedures in line with SALSA standard and business requirements.
Updating and Writing SOPs/CICs for the manufacturing sites and working closely with production and Health and Safety.
Conducting GMP and Glass and Brittle Material Audits for both manufacturing sites.
Carrying out in house testing for hygiene and allergen cleaning in line with the required standards.
Conducting audits of production paperwork to ensure accuracy and traceability is maintained.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has
A good understanding of a technical or quality role within the food industry.
A good understanding of HACCP, GMP, Food Safety and Food Hygiene.
A proactive work ethic and good attention to detail.
Strong IT skills including Outlook and MS Office, particularly MS Excel
Confident and clear communicator
Positive, friendly and mature with a professional approach
Ability to work efficiently and accurately, especially when under pressure
