Marketing and Audiences Assistant

Salary 14.67 (p/t around 19,071 for 25hrs per week)

Including occasional evenings and weekends

We are looking for a part-time Marketing and Audiences Assistant to join our Team.

Fleet's entertainment venue The Harlington requires a friendly Assistant to support the Marketing and Audiences Manager. The Marketing and Audiences Assistant will be key to supporting the department, offering support in bookings, box office and marketing. This role will be jointly responsible for ensuring a first-class customer experience at the reception / box office during normal and extended opening hours, and at performance times.

The Harlington is a smallish venue offering a selection of rooms for hire, dance studio, bars and auditorium space which can be adapted to accommodate theatre and cabaret type shows plus a variety of events. Ancells Farm Community Centre is a small community hall which needs support with its automated bookings. Both venues are managed by Fleet Town Council. The Harlington is in a period of change, which we hope will become more transformational, so we are looking for someone who can grow with us.

Essential



Demonstrably high level of literacy and numeracy skills Good written and verbal communication skills Demonstrable interest in live entertainment Experience of working successfully as part of a team Experienced computer user Ability to work to tight deadlines Ability to manage a high and varied workload Demonstrable willingness to learn new skills Good understanding of social media

Desirable



Experience of marketing, administration or ticketing Experience in a live entertainment environment Experience of Photoshop or InDesign and Excel and other Microsoft Office programmes like Publisher
Most importantly we want to find an incredibly organised and capable person who wants to play an important role in our growth. We're currently re-structuring our staffing requirements to meet with an ever-increasing programme of shows, events and activities together with ambitious plans for a refurbished venue, and this new role will provide support to the Marketing and Audiences Manager. You will be given any in-house training you need; we also have ongoing membership with the Art Marketing Association of which you will have access. Your desire, belief and ability to make the role a success is paramount!

The post is eligible for inclusion in the company's pension scheme, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays and employee assistance programme.
