Marketing and Business Development Assistant

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the company's client base. Support the development and implementation of strategic plans aimed at attracting and retaining customers. Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, business opportunities, and potential partnerships. Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and other business development materials to support sales initiatives. Collaborate with the sales team to track leads, nurture client relationships, and follow up on potential business opportunities. Maintain and update client databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of business contacts and prospects.

Marketing

Assist in the development, execution, and monitoring of marketing campaigns to promote products and services. Create compelling and engaging content for various marketing channels, including social media, email campaigns, blogs, and website updates. Coordinate marketing events, promotional activities, and product launches, ensuring seamless execution. Analyse marketing performance metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and provide insights for improvement. Collaborate with the design and content teams to ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging marketing techniques to enhance campaign effectiveness.

Website & Digital Marketing

Work closely with web developers and designers to enhance website functionality, ensuring it meets customer needs and aligns with current market demands. Monitor website traffic, user engagement, and product sales performance via online channels. Support SEO and digital marketing efforts to improve online visibility and conversion rates.

Product Development

Work alongside the product development team to generate ideas and identify products with strong market potential. Provide insights into customer preferences, trends, and competitive offerings to inform product development strategies. Assist in the testing and launch of new products, ensuring they align with marketing and customer demand.

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in marketing, business development, or a related role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients, partners, and internal teams. A creative and analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and an interest in emerging marketing trends. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with marketing tools such as social media management platforms, CRM software, and email marketing tools. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience in website management, digital marketing, or e-commerce is a plus. A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and contribute to multiple business functions.
