Job Summary



FT Construction Group is seeking a

Marketing & Business Development Co-ordinator

to play a pivotal role in delivering marketing and business development activity across the FT Construction Group, supporting Walter Thompson, Tom Willoughby, Tom Willoughby Homes, Langtons and Langtons Site Products.

This role is primarily B2B marketing to support construction companies and construction product-led brands within the Group. Working closely with the Marketing Director, the role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day marketing activity, producing high-quality content, supporting campaigns and ensuring consistent brand representation across all channels.

This position suits an experienced, highly organised self-starter who is comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities and collaborating across teams, with scope to grow alongside the business.

This is a digitally led marketing role, with a strong emphasis on content creation, brand communications and business support.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Content:



Create, schedule and manage organic content across social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X and Threads for all FT Construction Group companies.

Support both B2B and B2C (Tom Willoughby Homes) social media strategies, adapting tone and content appropriately for construction, product-led and property development audiences. Design marketing assets in

Canva Pro

, including social graphics, newsletters, presentations and campaign materials. Produce blog content for all FT Group companies supporting SEO, company or product positioning and brand visibility. Create and upload email marketing content via

Shopify

, with scope to support the transition to platforms such as

Mailchimp

or

Klaviyo

. Support the creation of content for paid social advertising campaigns

Campaigns, PR & Brand:



Assist with PR activity across the FT Construction Group, including press release drafting, quote drafting, media liaison, with particular relevance to regional business press and construction trade media.

Support the preparation and submission of entries for relevant industry awards across construction, property and related sectors. Ensure all marketing activity reflects each company's brand positioning and upholds the reputation of the FT Construction Group at all times.

Business Development Support:



Provide marketing and content support for general business development, including case studies, visuals and bid-related materials. Collaborate with internal and external teams to gather information and ensure marketing and business development outputs align with live projects and strategic objectives.

Events & Engagement:



Assist with the planning and delivery of events, exhibitions and trade shows, including pre-event promotion and post-event follow-up materials.

Reporting & Insight:



Monitor and report on social media performance, tracking engagement, growth and campaign activity. Support wider analytics and performance reporting, including website traffic (Google Analytics), email performance and campaign-specific metrics where possible. Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends, opportunities and areas for marketing development across both B2B and B2C markets.

Ways of Working:



Maintain Microsoft Teams Planner and marketing schedules, contributing to weekly and monthly reporting across the Group. Demonstrate initiative, strong organisation and the ability to work independently Report directly to the Marketing Director with regular communication via email and phone.

Skills & Experience (Essential)



3-5 years experience in a B2B marketing role Strong content creation skills across social media, email and website platforms Confident using Canva Pro for in-house design work. Ability to manage multiple brands, deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision

Experience supporting bids, tenders or wider business development activity. Experience using

Familiarity with Google Analytics and marketing campaign performance reporting. PR experience, particularly with Yorkshire and North-East business press or construction trade contacts Experience in marketing property developments or consumer-facing brands
