Marketing and Communications Executive

Salary: CIRCA 30,000 PA

Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week) permanent

The International Centre for Life is a thriving science hub in the heart of Newcastle. Its purpose is to inspire everyone to explore and enjoy science and to provide a world class science hub where life enhancing engagement, research and clinical treatment can thrive. Life is home to NHS clinics as well as scientists and researchers from Newcastle University. Life Science Centre is at the heart of this 'circle of science' and aspires to be most accessible and inclusive visitor attraction in the UK. It has an international reputation for its work in sensory engagement.

Life has an exciting opportunity for a creative and experienced marketing and communications professional to join our small, passionate team to make a big difference. You will be creating and implementing exciting plans to help us increase brand awareness and audience engagement and, crucially, increase footfall to the science centre.

Customer focussed, energetic and brimming with ideas, you will be a self-starter and a team player with a strong creative flair and a positive attitude. Key duties include overseeing the production of all print including leaflets, posters and signage as well as collateral required for advertising, socials and website (working with external designers and printers); and crafting, editing and proofreading content across channels - including listings, marketing materials, web content and email marketing.
