Job Description

We are looking for a Marketing & Development Manager to be responsible for delivering customer acquisition, retention, and brand growth through integrated online and offline marketing activity. Reporting to the Marketing Director and managing a small team, the role leads the planning, delivery, and optimisation of marketing campaigns, and works closely with external agencies and internal stakeholders across multiple marketing disciplines. While the role is primarily focused on the Just Travel Cover brand, the postholder will also support the development and marketing of other brands within the JIAL group, including Aneevo, ensuring all activity is commercially effective, brand-aligned, and compliant.

Primary Responsibilities



1. Direct Marketing:



Plan, manage and deliver the acquisition and retention campaigns across direct marketing channels including direct mail, SMS and email. Set objectives and KPI's for direct marketing activity, ensuring campaigns are insight-led and commercially effective.

2. Affiliate and Partnership Marketing



Working with an external agency and the in-house team, lead Just Travel Cover's affiliate marketing and internal partnerships programme, in line with clear growth strategies and commercial targets. Develop, manage, and expand affiliate, referral, and partner relationships to increase enquiries and sales (travel agents, brokers, charities) Evaluate partner performance and ensure alignment with brand compliance, and profitability objectives. Identify new partnership opportunities and lead marketing-led initiatives to support company growth targets.

3. Email marketing and CRM



Own the email marketing and marketing automation strategy to drive customer engagement, retention, and repeat revenue. Oversee database growth, segmentation, and lifecycle marketing activity, ensuring best practice CRM usage. Ensure all data is managed, maintained, and utilised in compliance with data protection legislation.

4. Search Engine Optimisation Management



Manage the SEO strategy in collaboration with external digital marketing agencies to drive sustainable growth in organic traffic and sales. Set priorities, monitor performance, challenge agency recommendations where appropriate, and ensure SEO activity aligns with wider digital and commercial goals.

5. Social media Strategy and Brand Growth



Define and deliver the company's social media strategy, focused on brand awareness, engagement, and commercial contribution. Oversee content planning, channel growth, and performance measurement across all relevant social platforms. Ensure consistent brand tone of voice and messaging across all channels.

6. Website, Content, and Online Copy Management



Take ownership of content strategy across the company's websites, ensuring content supports SEO, conversion, and customer understanding. Oversee web editing, content creation, and online copywriting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with the wider marketing strategy. Work cross-functionally with product, compliance, and technology teams to ensure website content supports business objectives.

7. Marketing Systems, Technology, and Supplier Management



Optimise the use of internal and external marketing and product technology platforms to improve customer experience and campaign delivery. Act as the primary marketing contact for third-party technology providers, agencies, and suppliers. Drive continuous improvement through system enhancements, automation, and data-led decision-making.

8. Leadership, Governance, and Stakeholder Management



Manage marketing executive including performance, appraisals, CPD, training etc and provide leadership, guidance and development where applicable. Support the Marketing Director in shaping marketing strategy and priorities in line with regulatory framework. Support SLT to promote a culture of continuous improvement and development to align individual and team performance with the broader organisation goals. Undertake additional strategic projects and responsibilities as directed, contributing to the overall commercial and brand success of Just Travel Cover and other brands in the JIAL group.

9. Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Marketing Director.



Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 33,000.00-36,000.00 per year
