About the role



This is a varied, hands-on role where

no two days look the same

. You'll be supporting our Marketing & Operations Manager and working closely with our admin and finance colleagues to help promote, deliver and evaluate our programme of courses and events.

What you'll be doing



You'll be involved in the full mix of marketing and events activity, including:

Helping to shape and deliver our online presence across website, email and social media (especially LinkedIn & Instagram) Creating engaging content and campaign copy that reflects our purpose and values Scheduling posts, managing channels, and keeping our digital presence fresh and relevant Updating website content so everything works together and impact can be measured Supporting course promotion with targeted, cross-platform campaigns Assisting with market research and spotting trends and opportunities Getting involved in brainstorming, problem-solving and idea generation Supporting the coordination and delivery of events and courses Working with the admin team on bookings, enquiries, venues and logistics Helping prepare reports and insights so we can keep improving what we do

About you



We're not looking for perfection -- we're looking for someone who's curious, capable, organised and enjoys getting stuck in.

You'll likely have:

At least 12 months' experience in a marketing role (B2B a bonus) A marketing qualification (or be working towards one) Strong copywriting skills and a good eye for tone and audience Experience with social media, email marketing and scheduling tools Some familiarity with websites (WordPress ideal) Experience using HubSpot (or confidence learning it) Great organisational skills and the ability to juggle priorities Excellent written and spoken English Confidence working independently while knowing when to ask for support

Role summary



To support the Marketing and Operations Manager, Administration Officer and Finance Officer in the effective marketing, delivery and evaluation of its programme of courses.

Under the guidance of the Marketing and Operations Manager develop and implement a comprehensive and effective online presence aligned to SCCO Purpose, Values and strategic aims. Develop and execute comprehensive cross platform campaigns generating engaging and tailored audience content to promote products and services. Create compelling copy for use across the full range of marketing tools. Schedule posts and manage social media accounts to increase brand awareness and engagement, in particular Linked In and Instagram. Manage website content to work in alignment with all other communications activity to maximise impact and ability to measure engagement and client preferences. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within the industry. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on marketing initiatives. Get involved in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for continued engagement both internal and external. Implement delegated aspects of marketing and communications campaigns, being able to work independently and under supervision as required Prepare required performance reports on behalf of the Marketing and Operations Manager Work collaboratively with the Administration Officer, producing supporting materials as required. to ensure the smooth coordination and implementation of all events Work collaboratively with the Administration Officer to provide a full range of administrative support to bookings on courses, taking calls, booking spaces, liaising with venues etc.

Person Specification



A minimum of 12 months experience in a marketing role, preferably within a B2B environment. A recognised marketing qualification or working towards one Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging content tailored to target audiences. Familiarity with creating and managing websites ideally including WordPress experience. Experience in email and social media marketing writing, scheduling and positing. Experience using HubSpot to manage client list and produce analytical reports Demonstrated ability in writing engaging and compelling social media posts. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced setting. Excellent use of written, verbal and grammatical English, with exceptional communication skills. Ability to work independently within agreed parameters on tasks and projects making competent decisions based on knowledge, understanding and experience.

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
