Marketing & Events Manager - Lexden Wood Golf & Leisure Club

We're hiring a Marketing & Events Manager to lead both marketing and event delivery at Lexden Wood Golf & Leisure Club. You'll work closely with our General Manager to grow the brand, increase customer engagement, and make sure our events calendar is full, well-run, and profitable year-round.

The club came under new ownership in December 2024 and has picked up serious momentum since. Bookings are up, footfall is growing, and the brand is gaining visibility. We now need someone to take this further - bringing energy, structure, and creativity to build on what's working and raise the bar.

You'll also spend around one day a week supporting social media and marketing activity for Lanswood - a local property development business that owns Lexden Wood.

Key responsibilities

Deliver a joined-up marketing strategy aligned to business goals Manage content across social media, email campaigns, paid ads, and the website Plan, promote, and deliver events: weddings, parties, golf days, corporate hire, and community events Set up and manage CRM tools to drive enquiries, campaigns, and bookings Run targeted email marketing campaigns compliant with UK data protection laws (e.g. GDPR) Create on-brand marketing materials using Canva or similar tools Film and edit short-form video content to promote the club and its services Maintain and update the club website Monitor and report on marketing and event performance using basic analytics Help manage inbound event enquiries and bookings Support Lanswood marketing activity one day per week Help manage the club's phone lines and provide professional customer support

What we're looking for

Experience in marketing and events, ideally in sport, leisure, hospitality, or lifestyle sectors Confident planning and delivering events end-to-end Skilled in digital marketing, content creation, and campaign management Competent in CRM tools and email platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, HubSpot) Working knowledge of GDPR and data protection best practice Strong video content skills - filming, editing, and publishing Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and customer-facing Highly organised, proactive, and able to multitask in a busy environment Comfortable working on-site, hands-on, and with customers Skills in interior design or styling are a plus - especially for weddings and venue presentation Photography skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
