About the Marketing and Events Manager Role



Reporting to the Programme and Marketing Director, the Marketing and Events

Manager is responsible for delivering and further developing the Marketing Strategy and

Events Programme for artfix across all its current and future locations.

The role encompasses community engagement, content creation, updating and

monitoring the company's websites and social media accounts, designing all aspects of

marketing materials (online and print) and providing support with event planning,

organisation and delivery.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES



A. Marketing

1. Responsible for the delivery and evolution of the marketing strategy and work

with the Marketing Director to implement further developments when necessary.

2. Promote the artfix brand and core values internally and externally.

3. Implement and further develop the artfix brand guidelines making sure that they

are applied appropriately both internally and by external stakeholders (artists,

partners etc).

4. Responsible for the delivery and evolution of the social media strategy and work

with the Marketing Director to implement further developments.

5. Maintaining and updating website content for events, classes, and new activity.

6. Create content for social media accounts on a daily basis (including photographs,

videos, stories, reels).

7. Manage all aspects of design, production, and distribution of store and print

marketing material (posters, programmes, postcards, flyers, menus, signage etc)

8. Design and share all online marketing material (website, newsletter, social

media).

9. Copywriting: website, social media posts, print material, press releases/articles,

blogs, newsletter.

10. Create and manage the monthly newsletter.

11. Run major campaigns for new programmes and events.

12. Actively identify marketing and promotion opportunities.

13. Coordinate market/consumer research to receive feedback for our service in the

community.

14. Responsible for the training and supervision of the cafe staff and partners in

each space regarding the implementation of the marketing strategy.

15. Support in recruiting and training a Marketing Intern.

B. Events

1. Help develop the necessary processes and tools for the smooth planning and

delivery of events in all locations.

2. Conceptualize, plan, and manage events, including proposing event themes.

3. Help develop our events from proposal right up to delivery.

4. Manage event bookings and inquiries with the support of our Bookings Manager.

5. Book classes and events using our online booking system (where applicable).

6. Set, communicate, and maintain events timelines and priorities.

7. Liaise with artists and makers to plan, deliver, and market their events/classes.

8. Responsible for the training and supervision of local events executives (e.g., the

cafe staff) and partners in each space regarding the hosting and delivery of the

events.

9. Manage event marketing and promotion, including online and offline channels.

10. Coordinate with internal teams, such as operations, cafe staff, volunteers to

ensure smooth events operations.

11. Liaise with external suppliers including printers, entertainers, caterers, speakers

etc to ensure smooth events operations.

12. Deliver and host events on time, within budget, including on-the-day

management of events.

13. Host events occasionally on evenings and weekends, when needed.

14. Provide excellent customer service to bookers and event attendees.

15. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including artists, local

community members, partners, and suppliers.

16. Identify opportunities for future events.

17. Develop contacts to secure appropriate venue hire.

18. Develop audience research tools and conduct post-event evaluations to capture

and analyse audience feedback that can be used for the report on event

outcomes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE



Essential

? Marketing experience in a cultural or commercial organisation.

? First-class written and spoken English capabilities.

? A nose for the right story and an awareness of angle/relevance for the creative

sector.

? Experience of creating compelling online content.

? Experience in social media marketing techniques and developing social media

strategies.

? Knowledge of event planning and management principles.

? Experience with event marketing and promotion.

? Ability to work accurately and reliably under pressure and to tight deadlines.

? Ability to build effective relationships rapidly and comfortable engaging with both

internal and external contacts.

? Excellent interpersonal skills and experience as working as part of a team.

? Organised, with strong time and project management.

? Highly literate in MS Office, Google Drive, and Canva and familiarity with e-

marketing software and best practices.

? Ability to work independently and take initiative while knowing when referral is

necessary.

? A high degree of creativity, curiosity, readiness, and ability to learn fast.

? A 'can do' attitude with infectious drive and energy.

? Passion for the cultural and creative industries.

Desirable

? Experience in working on community engagement projects.

? Experience of using Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator and InDesign.

? Knowledge/ experience of booking/content management systems.

? Experience in SEO, Google Analytics and Analytical Tools.

? Experience of running low budget social media campaigns.

? Knowledge of the UK cultural and creative sector.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 28,000.00-30,000.00 per year
