to support and optimise the performance of our group of 10 pharmacies. This hybrid role combines multi-site operational management with strategic marketing oversight, ensuring consistent service quality, regulatory compliance, and strong digital presence across all branches.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent organisational skills, and a solid understanding of both pharmacy operations and digital marketing. This is a key position for a proactive professional who can drive efficiency, growth, and patient engagement.
Key Responsibilities1. Operations Management
Oversee daily operations across 10 pharmacies to ensure smooth service delivery and regulatory compliance.
Work closely with pharmacy managers to optimise workflows, staffing, and service delivery.
Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality.
Support the rollout of new NHS and private pharmacy services (flu vaccines, travel clinic, ear wax removal, UTI, etc.).
Monitor performance across all sites and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate stock redistribution, manage wholesalers, and improve stock efficiency across branches.
2. Stock Control & Optimisation
Analyse stock levels and turnover across all 10 pharmacies to prevent overstocking, shortages, and expiries.
Identify fast-moving, slow-moving, and obsolete lines; take action to maximise stock efficiency.
Monitor COGS, margin performance, and purchase-to-sales ratios.
Support automated ordering and validate exceptions to improve accuracy.
Negotiate with suppliers to improve pricing, discounts, and promotional opportunities.
Ensure compliance with controlled drug (CD) stock management standards.
3. KPI Management & Performance Analysis
Track and analyse key operational KPIs, including:
Monthly dispensing items
EPS nomination growth
NHS & private service uptake (NMS, CPCS, flu, UTI, ear wax, etc.)
OTC and category sales performance
Customer satisfaction
Monitor stock KPIs:
Stock turnover ratio
Wastage/expiry rate
Out-of-stock instances
Margin % per category
Produce regular performance reports for senior management using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Turn data insights into actionable improvement plans.
4. Digital Marketing & Online Presence Growth
Develop and execute marketing strategies that increase online visibility and patient engagement for all pharmacies.
Manage digital campaigns including SEO, Google Ads, social media, and email marketing.
Improve local SEO and Google Business Profiles for all 10 pharmacies.
Maintain and update the company website (WordPress), ensuring accurate service listings and online booking functionality.
Create compelling graphics and content using Adobe Photoshop.
Implement social media content calendars, health awareness campaigns, and service promotion posts.
Monitor and grow online reviews and reputation across all branches.
Track digital KPIs including organic traffic, engagement, booking conversions, and campaign performance.
5. Project & Vendor Management
Lead cross-functional projects involving pharmacy managers, dispensary teams, IT providers, and marketing agencies.
Manage external vendors, including digital agencies, service partners, and wholesalers.
Ensure all marketing and operational activities comply with GPhC, NHS, and internal policies.
Requirements
Proven experience in
pharmacy, healthcare, or multi-site retail operations
, ideally with a mix of operations and marketing responsibilities.
Strong understanding of
pharmacy workflows, NHS services, and healthcare compliance

Expertise in
SEO, Google Ads, Google Analytics, social media, email marketing
, and digital campaigns.
Proficiency with
WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
and general IT systems.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated project management ability with experience supporting multiple sites.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on data-driven insights.
