About the Role
We are seeking a
Marketing and Sales Executive Apprentice
to join our team and grow with us as we expand. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in sales, with a clear progression path from Apprentice to Business Development Manager, Head of Sales, and ultimately Sales Director.
This isn't about bringing in sales immediately - we're investing in the right person who will take the time to understand our business, build genuine relationships, and develop professionally through a Level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship. We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, a natural communicator, organised, and ready to take initiative. If you're eager to learn, comfortable speaking with people, and want to formalise your sales career through structured training, this role is for you.
You'll work closely with senior leadership, managing inbound communications, supporting bidding processes, and creating marketing content while gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of our sales function.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the single point of contact for all sales enquiries across telephone, email, video, and in-person channels
Manage and maintain the CRM system with accurate and timely data
Lead the creation of marketing content for digital and traditional channels
Support the development of a structured sales process and assist with proposals and presentations
Participate in bidding processes, including market engagement questionnaires, PQQs, and tenders
Manage company profiles and documentation across procurement portals
Build strong relationships with client supply chain and procurement managers
Travel nationwide to meet with clients and attend site meetings
Shadow the Managing Director during client meetings and negotiations
Collaborate with Heads of Services and finance to align sales strategies
Complete all Level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship modules and actively apply learning to real-world scenarios
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential Requirements:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to speak confidently with people at all levels
Highly organised and methodical with excellent attention to detail
Self-starter who can work independently and take initiative
Enthusiastic and genuinely eager to learn and develop
Full UK manual driving licence and flexibility to travel nationwide
Comfortable with client-facing interactions and building relationships
Team player who can also work autonomously
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Eligibility to enrol in Level 4 Sales Executive Apprenticeship
Desirable:
Basic understanding of marketing principles and sales processes
Experience with CRM systems
Interest in content creation and digital marketing
Previous experience in customer-facing roles
Salary and Benefits
