An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing assistant to join our Business Development & Marketing team at our headquarters in Cardiff, supporting the business client division. Our BD & Marketing team comprises 24 business development, marketing, and communications professionals.

The role

As a Marketing Assistant, you will undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department's activities. Reporting to the Senior Events & Hospitality Manager and working closely with the wider team, you will develop and deliver essential support for all events and marketing requests.

You will oversee the integrity and quality of data stored in our customer relationship management system, InterAction. You will be responsible for improving the quality and depth of the data held in the firm's CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database for marketing and business development purposes.

Duties of this role will include:

Assisting the Senior Events & Hospitality Manager and Marketing Executives with running virtual, in-person events, corporate hospitality and internal events. This will include all stages of event preparation such as mailing lists, RSVP, set up of the event, merchandise, badges, packs and registration. Helping the Comms Team with getting video/photograph footage of events Arrange couriers for events and exhibitions. Booking corporate dinners, seminars and online webinars Managing merchandise and literature stock levels Manage the events inbox Tracking and collating all marketing credit card spend Process invoices and arrange BACS/TT forms.


Assist with the management of the CRM database by acting as a quality control check for client data updates. Process data changes and ensure system updates are complete, of a high standard and segmented. Handling data change management tickets - researching and processing these changes and following up with users as necessary. Using a variety of tools to maintain data and identify and deal with duplications. Running data quality searches and resolving data issues, as well as performing daily, weekly and monthly housekeeping tasks. Supporting the events process - setting activities ahead of events so that the lawyers know when their clients and other business contacts are attending our events. Supporting the firm's stated GDPR approach. Acting as a key point of contact for general CRM queries, including regular Outlook and InterAction administration tasks.

Skills & Qualifications



Exceptional attention to detail and tenacious attitude towards ensuring data accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Highly organised and methodical. IT skills, especially Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Highly professional, in presentation and manner, at all times.
