About the Role



The Marketing and Business Development Assistant will report into the London-based Business Development and Marketing Managers and provide BD and marketing support to the London-based team. This resource will also liaise with the Regional and Global BD and marketing teams as necessary, ensuring consistency of all BD and marketing efforts.



Primary responsibilities include:


Providing general business development and administrative support, including processing invoices, data entry and liaising with third-party suppliers for payments Preparing marketing materials, presentations, brochures, newsletters, adverts and other collateral in line with brand guidelines and approved processes Supporting the coordination and logistics of overseas marketing trips, conferences, events and related tasks Assisting with competitor, industry, gift and event research to support business development and marketing initiatives Maintaining and updating the firm's CRM system, ensuring that contact data is up to date and assisting with the preparation of client and mailing lists for campaigns and events Assisting with digital activities, including website updates and social media posts, with a particular focus on the website Supporting the team with the production, scheduling, and distribution of client updates and other communications Assisting with initiatives such as legal directories, awards and submissions


EXPERIENCE

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:



A degree in Marketing, Business Management or a related field is preferred; however candidates with experience of working in a similar role will also be considered The successful candidate must be proficient in MS applications including Word, Excel, Adobe PDF and PowerPoint Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy A high level of motivation and an ability to work effectively both on one's own initiative and as part of a team Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and a wide range of different tasks Proactive and deadline oriented Excellent project, organisational and time management skills
