We are seeking to appoint:
Marketing Assistant - Content & Communications
With a passion for digital storytelling, the Marketing Assistant (Content & Communications) will produce outstanding, informative and original content to attract more customers and build equity in the South & City College Birmingham brand with all stakeholders.
Supporting the college's digital and social media strategy the post holder will deliver content and communications that increase web traffic and customer engagement with prospective students as they begin the customer journey.
The role will require a highly creative, enthusiastic and personable individual, passionate about showcasing to young people, adults and employers how our college can transform the lives of individuals and communities.
An organised, creative problem solver, the post holder will have experience in content and PR communications, with excellent writing and short-form video production skills for the delivery of digital content.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Takes an iterative data-driven approach to content production.
Creates engaging text, imagery and video content.
A thorough understanding of social media trends.
Responds efficiently to opportunities that present themselves.
Knowledge of what types of content and style perform well on individual platforms.
Outstanding, efficient writing skills.
Works with the Digital Marketing Co-ordinator to develop an optimal posting schedule that aligns with the Social Media Strategy.
Curates and schedules content for the colleges digital screens.
Administrative duties that support the marketing team.
Support the promotion of college events and attend internal and external events, including all college Open Days.
Undertaking any other duties commensurate with the nature and grade of the post.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Comply with internal and external quality standards and contribute to the College's strategic aims.
Comply with college policies and procedures and health and safety regulations.
Support the safeguarding and promotion of students' welfare.
Maintain confidentiality in relation to all College information and to comply with Data Protection Legislation.
Participate in the College's Appraisal scheme and undertake any training as required.
Support and actively participate in the implementation of the College's Equal Opportunity policies.
