As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a Marketing Assistant to help support our promotional activity and brand presence.
Role Overview
The Marketing Assistant will play a key role in supporting and delivering marketing activity across the business. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, and creative, with a genuine interest in B2B marketing and communications technology. You'll work closely with the Marketing Manager and wider team to support events, social media, internal communications, and content creation, potentially utilising AI.
Key Responsibilities
This is a varied role that offers the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the marketing function. We don't expect you to be an expert in all the areas below - where you have knowledge, we can develop that, and where there are gaps, we can help you learn and grow experience.
Event Management
Coordinate logistics with staff and event organisers and ensure deadlines are met.
Oversee the production and transport of marketing collateral.
Supply company information for event listings, catalogues, and websites.
Plan and schedule promotional activity around events, including email and social media campaigns.
CRM & Email Marketing
Create and schedule marketing emails and newsletters using SAGE CRM and Mailchimp.
Support data management within SAGE CRM, including updates, imports, and exports.
Maintain and segment contact lists for targeted campaigns.
Monitor and report on email performance.
Social Media
Research and develop engaging content for LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
Design or source imagery and short-form video content to accompany posts.
Build and maintain a library of evergreen posts.
Monitor inboxes and comments to ensure timely responses.
Track performance and generate insights using platform analytics.
Paid Media & Advertising
Assist with setting up and monitoring paid campaigns (LinkedIn, Google Ads).
Compile campaign performance reports and identify areas for improvement.
Internal Communications
Work with department heads to gather updates, highlights, and internal success stories.
Prepare and publish the company's internal newsletter via SharePoint.
Content & Collateral
Assist with updating website content and monitor performance using Google Analytics and Search Console.
Help draft, edit, and proofread case studies, blog posts, brochures, and other marketing materials.
Coordinate with internal teams and external creatives (e.g. copywriters / designers).
Support the development and upkeep of sales tools such as brochures, one-pagers, and presentations.
Market & Competitor Research
Track competitor marketing activity, campaigns, and social presence.
Stay informed on industry trends via relevant publications and sources.
Gather insights to support campaign development or sales materials.
Distributor Marketing Support
Support in the management of marketing development fund claims with distributors.
Track spend, submit claim documentation, and report outcomes.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a marketing or communications role, ideally in a technology-related business-to-business environment.
Confident in writing and editing content.
Good working knowledge of social media platforms, especially LinkedIn.
Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint or similar tools is a plus.
Strong organisation skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Proactive attitude and a keen eye for detail.
Comfortable liaising with internal teams, suppliers, and event organisers.
Exposure / understanding of AI used in Marketing - AI Agents used in marketing
