About the role
We are looking for a proactive and organised
Marketing Assistant
to support the planning and delivery of our marketing campaigns for events and brand communications. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with creativity, excellent attention to detail and a collaborative mindset. You'll play an important part in engaging our audiences, building relationships with partners and helping to ensure our events are engaging and accessible.
Key responsibilities
Campaign and content delivery
Design and send marketing emails using an online marketing tool
Write compelling copy and create eye-catching, on-brand visuals
Understand audience segments and select appropriate data for each campaign
Manage campaign schedules and adhere to deadlines
Develop and implement effective social media strategies to promote events and grow brand visibility
Quality control and collaboration
Implement a proofing process across all marketing materials (emails, websites, social platforms)
Liaise with the Delegate Support Team to enhance outreach efforts
Collaborate with the Operations Team to deliver the creative assets needed before each event
Build and nurture relationships with charities, associations, and relevant partner organisations
Database Management
Maintain and update the marketing database, ensuring accuracy
Conduct data research to support campaigns and audience development
Additional Day-to-Day Tasks
Handle incoming enquiries via phone and email in a professional manner
Provide back-office support during live online events
Reach out to potential delegates directly by phone and email
Travel to live in-person events to support the wider team
Assist with general team support and ad hoc tasks as needed
About You
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Creative flair with good eye for design and layout
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Canva, Adobe or other design tools is a plus
Good understanding of Linked-in and X
Enthusiastic team player with a willingness to learn and contribute
