Ransom Publishing, an independent schools publisher, is looking for a Marketing Assistant . The Marketing Assistant will work directly for the Marketing Manager, providing administrative support for all of Ransom's marketing activities. This is not a creative role but there may be an opportunity for input into Ransom's social media.
The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for:
Updating Ransom's website (e.g. product updates, simple content updates, implementing promotions)
Updating Ransom's blog (building/scheduling posts)
Managing Ransom's email marketing lists and scheduling email marketing campaigns
Production of marketing materials (e.g. my leaflets, posters, bookmarks)
Handling the logistics of direct mailings
Supporting the Marketing Manager with key marketing relationships
Booking Zoom meetings with customers and sitting in to take notes and perform any follow-up actions where appropriate
Assisting with general marketing exercises (e.g. sample packs, goodie bags for events, order form creation/maintenance)
Assisting on customerservices@ reviewing queries and directing them to the right person
Retrieving data from FAP (Ransom's inhouse system) for marketing purposes and producing appropriate reports
Updating customer databases
Assisting with PR campaigns
General social media engagement
Key skills and abilities
Highly efficient and organized
Strong attention to detail
Ability to use all essential tools in direct marketing and social media
Good communication skills through telephone, email and zoom
A good command of the English language and basic proof reading ability
Good team player
A knowledge of the UK schools market would be an asset
Experience
No experience is necessary though ideally candidates should be able to demonstrate that they can provide excellent support as a assistant in either business generally or marketing.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 25,000.00-30,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 14 - 28 per week
