Job Description


The Argos Campaign Management team lead the design and development of Argos\xe2\x80\x99s marketing communications for brand, seasonal, mission-related and trade-driving campaigns across all customer touch-points including TV & VOD, Press, Outdoor, Social and Digital Marketing.
We own the end-to-end campaign process from further development of a customer proposition, to campaign creative design and media planning through to evaluation feeding into the proposition PIR. We\xe2\x80\x99re a team of passionate, curious creative and media experts, and work closely with our agency partners to land the right message, in the right channel, to the right customer.

As our Campaign Manager you\xe2\x80\x99ll be:

  • Responsible for the end-to-end execution of all marketing communications at Argos.
  • Responsible for interpreting marketing briefs and clear business objectives handed-off by the Marketing Propositions team, and developing these briefs and objectives into effective campaign briefs and efficient media and creative plans.
  • Be a key contributer in media investment decisions across all marketing channels, to ensure that we invest with the right message, at the right time, in the right channel to meet the specific objectives in the brief.
  • Responsible for managing output across channels. This individual will need to demonstrate significant stakeholder engagement and management, to influence areas outside of immediate remit to commit to plans that meet pre-agreed objectives.
  • Responsible for amplifying Argos brand campaigns across channels beyond TV/AV incl. social, DOOOH.
  • Strategic oversight and management of workload across trading Quarters; working with Senior Campaign Manager to: lead i. strategic agency briefing; ii. prioritise budgets; iii. critical path management incl. senior engagement.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all creative output and customer touchpoints are in line with our brand guidelines.
  • Responsible for agency management across our multiple external agencies.
  • Responsible for budget management \xe2\x80\x93 approx. \xc2\xa335m p/a; incl. management + tracking of all marketing spend allocated against campaigns.
  • Responsible for measuring effectiveness of campaigns \xe2\x80\x93 interpreting relevant data (e.g. advertising tracking) and summarising clear learnings back to the business.
Our Campaign Management Team would love to see from you:
  • How to effectively communicate with customers.
  • How to influence and engage stakeholders to deliver effective marketing campaigns.
  • A strong understanding of the communication channels available and media mixes, and how to best communicate in them. The ability to make decisions and recommendations on the best media mix to deliver campaigns.
  • Multi-tasking / organisation skills: how to manage and support on a number of projects and tasks at the same time.
  • A strong understanding of customers and have the confidence to challenge decisions based on how they impact customers.
  • How to effectively manage and support team members to deliver best in class work.
  • Industry trends and innovations. e.g. a network within media and creative professions; able to draw on expertise and offer innovative solutions.
