Member-Get-Member (MGM) or Invite a Friend is one of Amex's largest acquisition channels in the UK and has seen outstanding growth across the last eight years. This success has been driven by continuous innovation and test and learn, innovative marketing and has had a global impact on our MGM strategy.


This Marketing Executive role will drive MGM forward our largest acquisition channel, by taking ownership of our Consumer Co-brand products from both a capabilities and non-LTO marketing perspective. From a marketing perspective will deliver all non-limited time offer marketing, take ownership of our early engagement strategy and always-on Paid Search. Capabilities side of role will include Co-brand product positioning, campaign set-ups, benefit updates and partnering with product teams to deliver new journey enhancement.

How will you make an impact in this role?



Implement and own Consumer Co-brand MGM always-on communications Strategy delivering incremental growth and contributing innovative insights. Manage relationship with external agencies to brief and develop non limited time offer creative campaigns for Co-brand products. Execute marketing campaigns for our non-limited time offers across MYCA, Mobile and Email, encouraging Cardmembers to refer and Prospects to apply to drive acquisition and making always-on work harder. Own our early engagement strategy partnering with Customer Marketing teams to unlock incremental acquisition across entire Consumer portfolio. Work with internal stakeholders to create and deliver Consumer Paid Search strategy for full year. Work cross line of business to successfully deliver Customer and Prospect journey updates for Co-brand limited time offer campaigns, including bonus set-ups, copy approvals and page updates. Work with product teams to best position our Co-brand products to drive conversion and ensure Card benefit information is kept up to date. Developing recommendations for how to improve always-on marketing communications to further grow MGM for Co-brands, including keeping up to date with external trends and competitors Understand, analyse and present meaningful co-brand product performance updates to wider teams and senior leadership. Work with in partnership with EDDS and MRCB Marketing & Capabilities Executive to deliver T&Ls across user experience - both referrer and prospect.

Minimum Qualifications:



Strong campaign and/or project management experience, including implementation and innovation. Willingness to understand complex processes to deliver campaigns on time. A highly motivated and positive, can- do attitude. Adaptable to change and able to deliver against challenging targets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, incredible attention to detail. Strong relationship building skills, able to collaborate and influence to get consensus on new insights. Good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

Preferred Qualifications:


An understanding of digital customer marketing channels and an eye for great creative development. Excellent analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills. Solid understanding of card economics and financial concepts, e.g. ROI.
