We have an exciting opportunity here at Barking and Dagenham College for a highly-motivated Marketing & Communications Officer for maternity cover, commencing in January 2024, and up to February 2025.

The Marketing & Communications Officer will work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager, in producing communications and marketing materials that will drive new leads, customer conversion and engagement across all digital and traditional marketing channels.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for copywriting, editing and proof-reading content for a wide variety of communications, as well as undertaking marketing projects relating to the entire student lifecycle.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and will be able to prioritise and work well under pressure.

Essentially you will have a relevant first degree or equivalent practical experience that demonstrates relevant levels of knowledge and skills, GCSE (C grade or above) in English or equivalent, and also Microsoft Office or equivalent experience.

Experience working in a communications, PR, content or copywriting role is also essential, along with experience of developing and implementing content schedules.

You should have demonstrable experience of multi-channel marketing including web, email and social media, as well as being able to demonstrate excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills.
