Join us in shaping the Future of Work
We're looking for a dynamic individual to step into a fixed-term maternity cover role, initially part-time (2-3 days/week) from October 2025, transitioning to full-time from January 2026 to December 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with Fiona, our COO/CMO, taking on responsibilities spanning both community and marketing management. You'll play a crucial role in nurturing our vibrant online community and driving our marketing efforts.
This position offers a talented and organised marketing professional the chance to contribute significantly within a fast-paced startup, supported by an experienced leadership team. You'll be instrumental in shaping the future of work by helping professionals understand, launch, manage and grow successful portfolio careers.
Key responsibilities
As our Marketing & Community Manager, you will oversee two critical functions, working across various aspects of our operations:
Community management
Relationship building: Proactively engage with community members to facilitate conversations, foster relationship-building and maintain a thriving, supportive environment.
Spotlighting: Celebrating and showcasing the successes of our community members, maintaining TPC as a community of choice for portfolio professionals.
Events: Support the Community Events Facilitator and wider team with general event management (both online and in person), from meticulous planning through to seamless execution and delivery.
Marketing
Social media: Collaborate closely with our graphic designer to ideate, create and schedule compelling social media content, analysing data trends to inform future growth strategies.
Content & emails: Support the creation of engaging monthly newsletters, promotional emails, website copy and thought leadership content. This may include working with our freelance writers and community members to ensure any articles produced for TPC are on-brand and impactful.
SEO: Monitor organic performance and ensure all content is optimised for search.
CRM: Assist with the management of our CRM system (HubSpot) and email campaigns.
Marketing administration: Maintain and update marketing calendars, schedules and project timelines, providing general marketing administrative support to the team.
The ideal candidate
You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with 3-5 years of marketing experience. You possess the ability to leverage data for informed marketing decisions, ideally gained within a fast-paced environment such as a startup or agency. A community background and genuine passion for helping people in their career is essential.

What we can offer you
This maternity cover role offers the flexibility of remote-first working with flexible hours. While most days will be remote, you'll need to reside within approximately 2 hours of London, to support occasional in-person community events and TPC team days (around once per month).
Compensation will include a salary of c. 28,000 - 35,000 pro-rata depending on experience, as well as stock options. We are open to 32-40 hours per week.
